MG EV Technology

Since several models are in MG's EV range, the battery technology and drive train are different. The portfolio starts with MG4 Electric, which has a lithium iron phosphate battery with 51 kWh. It can accept AC and DC charging at 6.6 kW and 117 kW rate. The MG5 Electric has a lithium-ion battery pack with 61.1 kWh capacity, 400 v architecture, and slightly better charging rates. This combo can achieve 11 kW at AC charging and 87 kW at DC charging. The MG ZS EV can be had with either a 51 kWh battery pack or as a Long Range model with 72 kWh. Both versions feature a lithium-ion battery pack with AC and DC charging at the 7.4 kW or 94 kW max charging capacity. The MG Marvel R is a performance-oriented model with a 74 kWh battery pack and slightly better charging specs. Of course, the MG Cyberster, as the most exciting model, has the most extensive 77 kWh battery pack and the best performance toto attract customers.
