De productie start in december 2026 in het Amerikaanse Spartanburg, BMW neemt sinds oktober 2026 bestellingen aan, en de laadklep rechtsachter opent automatisch.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eWelke laadkabel moet ik kopen voor de BMW iX5?\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eBij de iX5 hoort de \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/laadkabel-type-2\"\u003eVoldt® Type 2-laadkabel van 22 kW\u003c\/a\u003e, die op alle drie de fasen 32 A aankan, zodat een 22 kW-wallbox thuis of een openbare 22 kW-paal de auto met vol vermogen laadt: BMW rekent 7 uur en 30 minuten om de accu helemaal vol te laden. Aan een 11 kW-wallbox, die in veel Nederlandse woningen hangt, laadt de iX5 met 11 kW, en dan duurt een volle accu zo'n 15 uur. Een kabel van 11 kW zou de auto ook aan een 22 kW-wallbox op 11 kW houden, dus met de 22 kW-kabel benut je de lader volledig.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eRijd je de iX5 achteruit naar binnen, dan zit de laadklep rechtsachter tegen de muur aan en is zes meter kabel genoeg voor een wallbox aan diezelfde kant. Bij vooruit inparkeren komt de klep bijna vijf meter van de muur terecht, en de kabel loopt langs de volledige rechterzijde: acht meter dus. Als een tweede auto tussen de iX5 en de muur staat, heb je tien meter nodig voor achteruit en 15 meter voor vooruit parkeren.
